BiographyMatthew Chambers was born on the 20th August 1968 in London. Matthew initially pursued a career as a model, winning a place on the books of international model agency Models 1. Following this successful venture in 1998 Matthew enrolled at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academyof Dramatic Art, or as it now part The Central School for Speech and Drama. In 2000 Matthew joined the ranks of esteemed alumni of the British drama school and quickly established himself as a successful television actor with roles in major British institutions such as Doctor Who and Holby City. Matthew's talents quickly won him the male lead role in British independent film Lady Godiva (2008) and indeed a role in the Hollywood project Attack Force (2006). The year 2007 brought Matthew his biggest, and arguably best know role yet; that of the dashing bad boy Dr Daniel Granger in the BBC long running daytime drama series Doctors. An initial stint commencing 9th July 2007 saw Matthew introduced as the loveable rogue and he joined the permanent cast on 21st December 2007.
Dr Daniel GrangerFrom his very arrival on screen, this dashing Doctor sent many hearts racing; both on and off screen! The resident heart-throb of the show has established quite a fan base and this has only been strengthened since the on-screen paring of Daniel and Zara. Long may Zaniel remain a mainstay of BBC Doctors and the object of many a Doctors fans' affection.
